Hey everyone, my name is Arla, and I was diagnosed with stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Due to this diagnosis, I am not able to work and am having a difficult time supporting myself and my two kids. The funds will help support me through my chemotherapy treatment, allow me to maintain my home (groceries, rent, etc.), and cover miscellaneous costs (medicines, copays, labwork, etc.) that come up as I fight this battle. Any donations to help me beat cancer would be greatly appreciated. My story is detailed below: I was diagnosed in June of 2025, after a number of doctor’s appointments for drastic weight loss (40lbs), nausea, migraines, and blood/protein in my urine. But after noticing a large mass (swollen lymph nodes) in my neck in early May, I knew something was really wrong. I was told by doctors that I might be fighting an infection and that sometimes lymph nodes just get swollen. I was given a lot of referrals, but nothing in oncology until I was rushed to an ER in mid-June after vomiting uncontrollably and being tachycardic outside my urology doctor’s office. Finally, after several months of uncertainty, misdiagnoses, and not knowing what was wrong, the ER doctor did a series of tests (chest x-ray, CT scan, and bloodwork), which revealed a mass extending from my neck into my chest. Shortly after, I was transferred to another hospital, where it was confirmed that the mass was cancerous – Stage IV Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer. It took almost three months of advocating for myself and misdiagnoses at various doctors’ offices to finally get my answers. I am now lucky enough to be treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering and have a plan in place to beat the big C. I have a loving support system fighting alongside me, but the financial burden is becoming too heavy for us to bear. If you could please share my story, donate, and encourage others to do so, it will help make my battle against cancer that much easier.
